Gate Safe, the established leading authority on automated gate safety, was invited to make a presentation to property managers and surveyors at an information gathering initiative run by the leading residential / commercial property consultancy Knight Frank, at the company’s headquarters in London.
Following a number of automated gate accidents in residential properties, Knight Frank is taking the issue of automated gate safety seriously, and delegates at the event demonstrated a strong interest in improving their understanding of the factors which may contribute to an unsafe and non-compliant gate.
The presentation, delivered by Gate Safe founder Richard Jackson, provided an opportunity for those involved in the sale or management of properties to appreciate the potential risks associated with an automated gate and identified the clear need for all professionals to safeguard the buyer / tenant of a property which may feature such an installation.
“For many, an automated gate simply represents a means of entry / exit to a property. The reality is that these gates, while valuable in providing an effective means of access control, are also capable of inflicting serious injury or worse if they are not installed correctly or regularly maintained by a suitably qualified installer” commented Richard Jackson.
Following the presentation, Knight Frank made a firm commitment to ensuring all its staff are aware of the acute need to advise clients of the appropriate protocol for automated gates.
